Fine Arts
1992-1995- Graphics Department, Mission Cultural Center, San Francisco, California. Studied silkscreen under Rene Castro and Calixto Robles. Created 8 original works and printed approximately 50 serigraphs for each one. Designed and printed the poster for the Annual Women's Show in 1995. Also Collaborated with other artists developing original artwork.
1995- Creative Computers, Palo Alto, California. Took extensive workshops and private tutorials in the use of Painter and Photoshop graphics programs.
1986-1989 Visual Arts Department at the Escuela Moderna de Musica, Santiago, Chile. Course work and training in Classical Fine Arts, including human figure and classical techniques in oil painting.
1986-1989 Private mentoring with international painter Ida Gonzalez de Carreno. Intimate, hands on training in fine arts creation and development.
1988- Studio-based course work in charcoal and pencil drawing with Alberto Steinberg, Santiago, Chile.
1987- Private course work in the use of Alber's Theory in Color taught by Eduardo Vilches, Santiago, Chile.
1986- Studio-based work in pastels in still-lifes with Cecilia Knerr, Santiago, Chile.

Project YES (Youth Engaged in Service)
Planner, designer, and teacher for middle school projects using art as a healing modality. Worked closely with disadvantaged and high risk youth successfully completing a series of sculptures with recycled materials at Calvin Simmons Junior High. These pieces are currently touring the community gardens and city buildings in Oakland and the San Francisco Bay Area. Also Completed two summer projects which consisted of 2 large murals working with groups of 10 to 14 children ages 13 and 14.
