Paper poster print of "Blue Deer - Venado Azul" by Mariela de la Paz.

11x17 inches (width x height).

In the sacred tradition of the Wixárika people of Mexico, Kauyumari, the Blue Deer, is the great spirit guide and messenger between worlds. It's said that where he steps, peyote blossoms, and that he leads the seeker through the desert of Wirikuta toward vision and healing. Here the Blue Deer rises out of the moonlit desert like a guardian, his antlers glowing in harmony with the full moon. At his heart, a single peyote blooms with a delicate pink flower, the one warm light in a world of deep blue, a reminder that the medicine is a gift from the spirit of the land, offered to those who come with reverence.
